Ukranian jazz band “Pokaz Trio” in Riga!!!
Founded in 2016 in Odessa by academic pianist and composer Andrew Pokaz, the band put a start for a new wave of contemporary jazz in Ukraine. The trio successfully combines jazz, classical and ethnic music with electronic additions.
Since 2017 the band is a resident of the leading jazz events in Ukraine (Leopolis Jazz Festival, Koktebel Jazz, etc.), takes part in jazz festivals over Europe.
Now pokaz trio conducts cultural mission around Europe: brings awareness on the war situation in ukraine and fundraises money for “children of heroes” foundation through contemporary Ukrainian jazz music.
